2014 Members' Day

Full details have been announced for our fifth annualMembers' Day, which will take place on Saturday 4th October 2014.

Members' Day is our way of saying thank you to all our 3000 members and all NNR shareholders, with free travel all day to such supporters.

A special timetable will be in place for the day, which will see as many Society engines and items of rolling stock in service as possible. B12 8572 and Class 31 D5631 will be in traffic, as will our Quad-Art Set No.74.Wissington, which will be visiting from the Mid-Suffolk Light Railway, is expected to haul theVintage Set. The focus of the day will be on working to top up the remainder of theY14:2014 Appeal, which currently stands 30% short of the target. We must raise these funds in order to steam our J15/Y14, on which much work has already taken place for the most full and comprehensive overhaul the engine has ever received since being built.

The Society shop at Weybourne will of course be open, as will be theMuddle and Go Nowhere Real Ale Bar Car. We hope to also offer visitors shed tours of the rapidly expanding Weybourne works, subject to ongoing construction works being in a safe condition.

To obtain free travel, please bring your membership or shareholder's card with you on the day, and present it at Sheringham or Holt ticket office to obtain a complimentary ticket on the day of travel. You must obtain a ticket, as presentation of a card alone is not sufficient for free travel.
