Good News on WD Boiler

British Engineering Services (BES) has approved the repair plan to get the WD back into service.

The photograph shows the large section at the base of the boiler that has been cut away allowing for some metallurgical testing to be carried out which led to the BES approval.

The location of the repair will involve working in the confined space between the boiler and the chassis. Work is expected to commence after the Easter break.
