For most of my working life I have been in business on my own account and for the last twenty years of my working career I was a Licensed Multiple Retailer, from which I retired in 2015.

I was a volunteer signalman and catering department steward at the Great Central Railway from 1980 to 1989 and since then have worked at the NNR in various operating and non – operating grades. I have been a trustee of the Society for ten years and for the past seven have been Chairman. I currently head a Special Event at the railway, the Vintage Transport Weekend and Vintage Bus Rally in July.

Apart from the Railway, my other main interest is restoring and driving classic cars, of which I currently own two, one of which is under major restoration at the moment. I am married with a grown up daughter - and now two grandchildren - and live at Bacton on Sea, Norfolk.
