North Norfolk Railway
The North Norfolk Railway plc was formed to operate and manage passenger services on the line. In 1973, it was granted a light railway order and began running trains from Sheringham to Weybourne and, from 1989, to Holt. The M&GN Joint Railway Society is the NNR's majority shareholder.

The company owns all the land, structures and track along the 5¼ mile route as well as most of the 1950s BR Mk 1 coaching stock that is used on most passenger trains. It also owns 92203 ‘Black Prince’ along with freight and permanent way wagons.

The NNR is dependent on around 500 volunteers to run the Railway, and many of these are members of the M&GN Joint Railway Society.
