'Big Push' for Members' Day
Our fifth annualMembers' Dayis nearly upon us and is this coming Saturday 4th October 2014. With this in mind, we can now announce full and confirmed details of the event along with Passenger Timetables to download.
Three of the Society's locomotives -Wissington, the B12 and Brush Type Two D5631 will be in service, hauling either the 'Society Special'Vintage Set, Quad-Art Set No.74 or a rake of Mk.I coaches within which is marshaled theMuddle and Go Nowhere Real Ale Bar Car.
The day will mark the launch of our 'Big Push' for the Y14. We are working extremely hard to close the gap in ourY14:2014 Appealwhich currently stands at £75,000. We are confident that all our members attending will help us in raising a significant proportion of the outstanding funds required for the appeal.
At Sheringham the M&GN Circle will be holding a display on Platform Two.Driver for a Fivermini-footplate experiences will operate from both platforms between trains. Download the timetable for more information.
At Weybourne, shed tours of Weybourne Works will offered to visitors and the Society's bookshop will also be open.
At Holt, the William Marriott Museum will be open to visitors. The newly restored horse dray will also be on display after being horse-drawn from Weybourne to Holt in the morning.
To obtain free travel, please bring your membership or shareholder's card with you on the day, and present it at Sheringham or Holt ticket office to obtain a complimentary ticket on the day of travel. You must obtain a ticket, as presentation of a card alone is not sufficient for free travel.
